Miraculous Ladybug - Book Review
During the day, Marinette Dupain-Cheng is a fashion-crazed, awkward teenage girl with a crush on her classmate Adrien Agreste. But by night, she transforms into Ladybug, a crime-fighting superhero to protect Paris from supervillain Hawk Moth and his evil Akumas. Accompanied by her sidekick Cat Noir, she uses her powers to fight evil and keep the city of love safe.
After learning of her dual life, a jealous sculptor in love with Ladybug akumatizes into Copycat, who attempts to take her place by the heroes' side. In an attempt to thwart her, Marinette asks her best friend Alya Cesaire to learn her secret. However, she starts prioritizing Alya over Cat Noir, putting a strain on her relationship with the masked hero.
The heroes and villains continue their battle to save the city of Paris. After stealing the Peacock Miraculous, Felix Fathom fuses it with his own to become Shadow Moth, able to create both heroes and villains by using the two types of Miraculous. He then gains access to most of the other Miraculouses, enabling him to turn the city into a black hole. But when Marinette and Cat Noir discover his plan, they reclaim the Rabbit Miraculous to defeat him. In the process, they realize he is actually her brother from another universe. But Hawk Moth has also recovered the Peacock Miraculous, creating a new monster called Veggie Moth.
